These terms cover your use of the Snib app and the snib.fif7y.com website. By using either, you agree to them. Snib is made by Gabriel Faucon (“we”, “us”).
Using Snib
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Snib on devices you own or control, for your own note-taking. Apps installed from the App Store are also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; where it and these terms differ as to the app, Apple’s EULA governs the app itself.
Your notes are yours
You own what you write in Snib. We claim no rights over your notes and — as our Privacy Policy explains — we don’t have access to them. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything you can’t afford to lose.
Subscriptions and billing
Snib is offered as a subscription with a free trial. After the trial, a subscription unlocks Snib across your Mac and iPhone. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account:
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
- A one-time lifetime option, where offered, is billed once through the App Store.
Prices may change; we’ll give notice, and any change applies to future billing periods. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse Snib — for example by using it unlawfully, interfering with its security, or attempting to copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it except to the extent the law expressly permits.
Our rights
The Snib name, logo, app, and the content of this website are owned by us or our licensors. These terms don’t grant you any right to them beyond using Snib as intended.
As-is, and our liability
Snib is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data you did not back up. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. To the extent permitted, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Snib in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update Snib and these terms. When we change the terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use Snib after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
